10 Trader Joe’s Frozen Foods to Buy Every Week
Trader Joe’s frozen foods can be SUCH a lifesaver! Here I’m showcasing 10 items (and two “extras!”) that I pick up almost every single week! From a quick side dish to easy shortcut meals, these frozen products are lifesavers for weeknight cooking!
1. Grilled Chicken Strips
I also like the fresh chicken strips, but with these, I never have to worry they’ll go bad in the fridge! They are flavorful and perfect for salads, sandwiches, or adding to pasta dishes. My son always cooks them quickly in the air fryer straight from frozen!
2. Raw Argentinean Red Shrimp
Love the fact these are wild-caught, affordable, AND peeled and deveined! From shrimp scampi to this staple Trader Joe’s pasta dish, these shrimp are super versatile to have on hand.
3. Frozen Spanish Style Rice
We have some form of tacos or Tex-Mex every single week and this is the perfect side dish that cooks up in 3 minutes!
4. Frozen Hash Browns
Everyone loves these hashbrowns – they are just perfectly crisp and delicious! The air fryer is the way to go on these guys!
5. Frozen Pizza
We all have those “frozen pizza nights,” right? This particular pizza kinda elevates that lazy night! I’ll serve this with a simple arugula salad and it’s “everyday gourmet” at my house! 🙂
6. Spinach and Artichoke Dip
My family asks for this Trader Joe’s viral pasta dish constantly, so I always need to have at least two boxes of this dip around! It’s also great to have on hand for a quick appetizer!
7. Frozen Garlic
I cannot STAND jarred garlic, especially when it’s packed in oil and preservatives. I also can’t stand chopping garlic! Enter Trader Joe’s frozen crushed garlic! I won’t lie, it’s not as flavorful as freshly chopped garlic however, if you use a little more than you think you need, it does the job!
8. Mac and Cheese (red box!!)
This mac and cheese is so good I’ve served it for holiday dinners! It’s rich, and ohhhh so creamyyyyy! Just how I love my mac and cheese! It’s a great little side dish that’s ready in 5 minutes.
9. Frozen Meatballs
These Italian-style meatballs are my go-to. The healthier version is the turkey meatballs, but those don’t quite do it for me. These are large and flavorful and perfect for quick-fix dinners like these meatball subs, meatball soup, or spaghetti.
10. Tater Tots
Can we say quick side dish?? If you have kids, you know what I mean! TJ’s tater tots are a fan fave around here alongside burgers, meatball subs, hot dogs, and sloppy joes!
A Few Honorable Mentions
Frozen Chicken Sausage
I LOVE their little bag of frozen chicken sausage. It’s great alongside eggs, or on a breakfast sandwich. They cook up in the microwave in about 60 seconds and are fairly low-calorie, too!
Hold The Cone – Ice Cream Cones
If you need a little sweet treat, these tiny cones are perfect!! I don’t buy them too often because they are gone in literally 3 seconds (I have 3 kids), but when I do, I make sure to hide a box in the freezer for myself 🙂
