Trader Joe’s Meatball Subs {Crockpot}
These crockpot meatball subs are one of my favorite easy meals! There’s hardly any prep or hands-on time–gotta love that! Serve it up with tater tots or a green salad. You can also swap the hoagie rolls for pasta for spaghetti and meatballs! What really takes this over the top is a generous amount of Trader Joe’s Aglio Olio seasoning!

Trader Joe’s Meatball Subs {Crockpot}
These crockpot meatball subs are one of my favorite easy meals! There's hardly any prep or hands-on time–gotta love that! Serve it up with tater tots or a green salad. What really takes this over the top is a generous amount of the Trader Joe's Aglio Olio seasoning!
Ingredients
- 2 24oz. jars marinara sauce My favorite from TJ's is the "Rustico" one, or I use Rao's
- 1 16oz. package of frozen meatballs I prefer the Italian-style but the turkey ones are OK, too
- 2-4 tsp TJ's Aglio Olio spice Trader Joe's Aglio Olio
- 4-6 hoagie or sub rolls
- 4-6 slices Provolone cheese
- grated parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Add: Add marinara sauce, frozen meatballs, and about 2 tsp. of Aglio Olio spice to your crockpot. Give everything a big stir. Cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours or on LOW of 5-6 hours.
- Heat: When you are ready to make your meatball subs, preheat oven to 350°F. Open the hoagie rolls and place your provolone cheese slices inside each roll. Bake for 3-4 minutes until cheese is melted and the rolls are slightly toasted.
- Assemble: Spoon your meatballs and marinara sauce onto the toasted rolls. Top with a few more shakes of Aglio Olio and Parmesan cheese (if using) and enjoy!
