PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a hot dip that you can easily heat up in the microwave for a quick appetizer! It’s a blend of spinach and artichokes (of course), along with Swiss and parmesan cheeses. This blend of cheeses keeps it perfectly balanced–tangy, creamy but not too overpowering.

SPINACH AND ARTICHOKE DIP: PROS

  1. Calories: As far as creamy dips go, this one will NOT break the calorie bank! I was shocked that 2 tbsp only had 40 calories! It uses reduced-fat sour cream so maybe that’s the secret…?? So you can eat more!
  2. Affordable: Each 8.8 oz. box of this dip is only $3.79, making it a super affordable appetizer!
  3. Flavor: Some store-bought dips are just way too acidic, tangy or garlicky. The Trader Joe’s spinach and artichoke dip is perfectly balanced. JUST the right amount of garlic, too!

SPINACH AND ARTICHOKE DIP: CONS

  1. Heating: The microwave isn’t the classiest way to make a dip but it’s easy at least! You have to make sure you stir it every so often as it cooks.
  2. Double up: Although it says there are 8 “servings” per box, you’ll be going through a lot more than that…I’d say one box is 4 servings at most. Especially if you are making the pasta recipe. Error on the side of not running out and grab 2 boxes!
