HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER FROZEN GARLIC BREAD: STEP BY STEP

Full instructions with exact ingredients will be in the recipe card below!

Step 1: Turn your air fryer on 375 and grab your garlic bread (no need to preheat air fryer). Lay bread on air fryer tray or basket in an EVEN layer. Don’t overlap!

Step 2: Air fry for 7-8 minutes for bread WITHOUT cheese, flipping one time about halfway through. This will give you the perfectly crisp crust and soft inside. For bread WITH cheese, air fry for 8-9 minutes without flipping (or you might loose some cheese!)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long do you cook frozen garlic bread?

For frozen garlic bread/Texas toast WITHOUT cheese, cook 7-8 minutes at 375 degrees, flipping one time.

For frozen garlic bread/Texas toast WITH cheese, cook 8-9 minutes at 375 degrees and DO NOT flip.

Do you have to defrost frozen garlic bread before you air fry it?

Nope! Just pop it right in to the air fryer frozen! One note, sometimes the frozen bread slices are hard to break apart right out of the freezer. In that case, let them sit out for just a couple of minutes and they’ll come apart easily.

Do I have to flip the garlic bread during air frying?

You don’t HAVE to! Some (many!!) times, I have forgotten to flip the bread, and it has come out just fine. An air fryer is basically a convection oven that circulates air all around the food so technically you don’t HAVE to flip it.

However, I have noticed it’s a tad more evenly cooked on both sides if you give it a flip.

Can you reheat frozen garlic bread in the air fryer?

You sure can! Just reheat it in the air fryer on 375 for about 3-5 minutes.

What do you serve with this air fryer garlic bread?

Pasta dishes are fantastic!! Like this Instant Pot Chicken Penne Pasta or this Creamy Pesto Gnocchi with Lemon. Or it’s perfect for dunking in soup like this Creamy Rigatoni Meatball Soup or this Instant Pot red Lentil Soup!

RECIPE TIPS & TRICKS

  • There is no need to use cooking spray in your air fryer (it may actually damage some air fryers!) but I love using these air fryer liners for easy clean up!
  • There is no need to preheat your air fryer. I typically turn my air fryer on, then open up the package of bread put it on my air fryer tray and pop it right in! No preheating necessary.
  • All air fryers are a little different! The first time you cook this frozen garlic bread, just keep an eye on it to find your ideal cooking time!
