How to Use This Fajita Sauce
Pour over 1-2 lbs. of meat, such as beef, chicken, or fish, and toss to coat. For best results, marinate the meat for 15-60 minutes. I don’t recommend marinating meats longer than 60 minutes since the lime juice will start to “cook” the meat.
STORAGE
Storage: Store this fajita marinade in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. If you skip the minced garlic, you can keep it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
It’s usually a blend of an acidic ingredient like lime or orange juice, adobo sauce or another savory ingredient like soy sauce, olive oil, and common spices like chipotle chili powder, red pepper flakes, cumin, and other spices. It also includes a sweetener like honey or brown sugar to balance the savory spices.
After marinating and cooking the raw meat with fajita sauce, you can wrap it in warm tortillas (flour or corn tortillas both work great) and top with your favorite toppings, such as sour cream, fresh guacamole, salsa, or diced yellow onion or red onion.
