INGREDIENT NOTES & SUBSTITUTIONS

Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups: You can use the milk chocolate peanut butter cups, too!

Marshmallows: Trader Joe’s sometimes has miniature marshmallows and sometimes they just carry the large ones. If you use the large size, just cut them in half.

Dippers: I love fruit, graham crackers, and cookies for dipping.

Casey’s Top Tip: This recipe is for a 8×8 baking dish, but it can be adapted to any size dish you like. The concept is the same for whichever size baking dish you use: layer peanut butter cups, then marshmallows. You can make 1-2 servings by using a small ramekin like these.

Ingredients

  • 1 16 oz. container of Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
  • 1 10 oz. bag of marshmallows miniature-size work best, but if you use larger ones, cut them in half
  • Graham crackers, fruit, or cookies for dipping

Instructions

  • Prep: Preheat oven to 450°.
  • Add PB cups: In an 8×8 baking dish (see note) evenly layer the peanut butter cups.
  • Layer marshmallows: On top of the PB cups, layer your marshmallows.  If you cut large marshmallows, place them cut side-down.
  • Bake: Bake the S'mores dip for 8-10 minutes, or until the marshmallows are soft and the chocolate is melted. Optional: If the marshmallows are not golden brown, broil for 1-3 minutes (watch it carefully!) until the marshmallows are nice and golden.
  • Cool: Allow the dip to cool for 3-5 minutes and serve with graham crackers, fruit, or cookies!

Notes

Note: This recipe is for a 8×8 baking dish, but it can be adapted to any size dish you like! The concept is the same for whichever size baking dish you use: layer peanut butter cups, then marshmallows.
