Takeout or Trader Joe's? The beef and broccoli recipe is made with Trader Joe's shaved steak and is ready twice as fast as calling for takeout...and MUCH more yummy, too!
2 tspolive oiljust enough to lightly coat the bottom of the pan
1lb.Trader Joe's Beef Shaved Steak
1tspgarlic powder
1tsponion powder
1/2tspsea salt
12oz.broccoli florets
Jasmine rice, for servingI love the TJ's frozen rice packets!
Instructions
Prep: In a small bowl or large measuring cup. whisk together sauce ingredients; set aside. Make sure your broccoli florets are all more-less a uniform size. If some are bigger, trim them down so they all cook quickly and evenly.
Cook Beef: Heat oil over medium-high. Add shaved beef steak, and season with garlic powder, onion powder, and sea salt. Use tongs and stir fry the beef for 1-2 minutes, breaking up the meat into smaller pieces as it cooks.
Add Broccoli and Sauce: Add the broccoli florets and the sauce. Bring the sauce to a boil then reduce heat to medium. Cover the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes until beef is cooked through and broccoli is tender. {Tip: if your pan doesn't have a lid, you can use a baking sheet to cover it!}
Finish: While the dish is cooking, microwave your Trader Joe's Jasmine rice. Spoon broccoli and beef over hot rice and serve!
