Ingredients

  • 2-3 tsp olive oil
  • 1 lb. Trader Joe's shaved beef
  • 2 tsp sea salt, divided
  • 2 tsp Trader Joe's 21 Salute Seasoning
  • 1 large bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4-6 soft hoagie rolls

Instructions

  • Cook Beef: In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add shaved beef. Season meat with 1 tsp sea salt and 2 tsp 21 Salute Seasoning blend. Cook the beef for 3-4 minutes, breaking it up with tongs as it cooks. When the beef is no longer pink, transfer it to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.
  • Cook Veggies: In the same hot skillet, add pepper and onions. Season with the remaining 1 tsp of salt. Turn the heat downn to medium-low and cook the veggies fo 8-10 minutes until soft.
  • Add: When the veggies are cooked, add meat (plus all of the juices from the plate!) back to the skillet and toss the meat with the veggies. Place 4 slices of provolone cheese over the top of the meat/veggie mixture. Cover the skillet (if you don't have a lid, you can use a baking sheet) and let the cheese melt for about one minute.
  • Finish: While the cheese is melting, warm your hoagie rolls in the microwave. You can also toast them in the oven if you have extra time. Pile the meat/veggie and cheese mixture into your warmed rolls and serve right away!
