Trader Joe's Garlic Spread Grilled Cheese

This grilled cheese is like no other. Instead of butter, it's slathered with Trader Joe's amazing Garlic Spread Dip making the perfect crispy, gooey, garlicky bite! Enjoy it all by itself, or dunk it into a hearty soup!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices Trader Joe's Cracked Wheat Bread
  • 1 8oz. tub Trader Joe's Garlic Spread Dip
  • 4 oz. favorite melty cheese suggestions: havarti, mozzarella, gouda, fontina, Provolone

Instructions
 

  • Prep: Heat a nonstick large skillet or griddle to medium heat. Spread BOTH sides of each slice of bread generously with the garlic spread dip. Note: Use about 1 tbsp per side for a rich, garlicky flavor. For less garlic flavor, just use the garlic spread on the inside and use butter or olive oil on the outside.
  • Cook: Place two slices of bread on your skillet or griddle. Top each piece with cheese. Place the remaining two slices of bread on top. Cook the sandwiches for about 2-3 minutes on one side- or until golden brown. Then flip, and cook on the other side until golden brown and all the cheese is nicely melted. Tip: if your cheese isnโ€™t melting well, place a lid or baking sheet over your skillet for a minute or so.
  • Finish: Cut each sandwich in half and serve.
