Ingredients

  • 1 lb. salmon, cut into cubes about 4 salmon filets
  • 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil, divided
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt or kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes or more, depending on your taste!
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced the best garlic chopper!
  • 2 tsp ginger, peeled and minced
  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 2 green onions, sliced optional, for garnish
  • sesame seeds optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Prep: In a large bowl add the cubed salmon and 1 tablespoon of oil. Toss until the salmon is coated.
To the bowl add the paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Use clean hands or tongs to coat the cubes of salmon.
  • Air Fry: Add the salmon bites to the air fryer. Try not to over-crowd the air fryer basket. Cook at 400° F for 4 minutes. Shake the basket or use tongs to move the salmon bites around. Cook for an additional 3 to 6 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and the cubes are golden brown. You want an internal temperature of 145° F.
  • Make Sauce: While the salmon is cooking, in a saute pan or medium skillet, add ½ tablespoon avocado oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Saute on medium heat for 1-2 minutes or until the garlic is fragrant. To the pan, add the soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar. Mix for 2-3 minutes or until the sauce starts to thicken.
  • Finish: Add the salmon bites to the pan with the sauce. Toss until the salmon is fully coated. Top with green onions and sesame seeds.
