I adapted this Trader Joe's Chicken Parmesan Ravioli Bake from a recipe on the Trader Joe's website called Chicken Parm-oili and I will admit, my family was TOTALLY skeptical when I made this! It took one bite to win them over! This family favorite uses only 5 ingredients and has a 5 minute prep time!
112 oz. package TJ's frozen chicken nuggets I used these but feel free to use any kind of breaded chicken nuggets. Yes, you can bake them right from frozen in this recipe!
2cupsshredded mozzarella cheese or 4 oz. fresh mozzarella (sliced)
1tsp oregano
Instructions
Prep: Preheat oven to 375°F.
Begin Layering: In an 8x8 baking dish (or 2 1/2 quart dish), spread about 1/2 cup of your marinara sauce down to cover the bottom of the dish. Then, layer on HALF of the ravioli. Spread on another 1/2 cup to 1 cup of the sauce over the ravioli. Spread sauce evenly.
Continue Layering: Top the ravioli with the chicken nuggets in an even layer. Spread another 1/2 cup to 1 cup of sauce over the chicken. Last, add the remaining ravioli and spread the remaining sauce over the top.
Add Cheese & Bake: Sprinkle on the cheese and oregano all over the top. Place in your preheated oven and bake for 30-40 minutes until bubbly and the chicken nuggets are heated through. Tip: If the cheese starts to brown too much, cover the baking dish with foil.
