Baked Oreo blondies stacked upon each other

Perfect Oreo Blondies

Casey Rooney
These Oreo blondies are chewy with a slight crunch from the Oreo pieces. The chocolate chips give you plenty of gooey chocolate flavor in every bite! And the best part? They are super easy to make!
This recipe was originally published in February of 2021 and used a boxed cake mix. Since then, the recipe and photos have been updated to bring you the best possible Oreo Blondies recipe, while still keeping the recipe super easy!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup salted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 cups chopped/crushed Oreos (about 16 Oreos) See Note 1

Instructions

  • Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F and coat an 8x8 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray, butter, or line it with parchment paper.
  • Cream: Using an electric hand mixer on high speed, cream the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and butter together in a large mixing bowl, until well-combined--it will be more dough-like vs. a cake mix batter.
Add the eggs and continue mixing on a high speed until they are fully incorporated into the mixture.
  • Add: Reduce the speed of your hand mixer and gently incorporate the flour until no dry pockets remain anywhere in the cookie dough.
  • Fold In Goodies: Use a large spoon or spatula to fold in the chocolate chips and Oreos until they are evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.
  • Bake: Spread your blondie batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick can be cleanly removed from the center of the pan and the edges begin to turn golden brown. Allow to cool a few minutes, then slice and serve!
Note: These blondies are much easier (and less messy!) to cut when they are at room temperature. Use a plastic butter knife to get smooth, clean cuts.

Notes

Note 1: I throw my Oreos into a gallon freezer bag and crush them with a meat mallet--so satisfying!
