Trader Joe's Shawarma Chicken Thighs, are packed with flavor, and there are so many ways to customize them to your liking! My favorite way to enjoy them is these chicken shawarma "bowls!"
Cook Chicken: Place chicken thighs in your air fryer. Try not to overlap, if possible. Air fry at 400°F for 18-20 minutes, until thighs are cooked through (at least 165°F). When the chicken is done cooking, chop it into small pieces. You can also cook your chicken thighs in the oven, in a skillet, or on the grill! I just find the air fryer is super quick for busy weeknights.
Prep Veggies & Rice: While the chicken is cooking, dice up your cucumber, tomatoes, and onion (if using). Squeeze on some lemon juice, season with salt and pepper, and toss to combine. If you are using Trader Joe's frozen microwave rice, pop that in the microwave for 3 minutes.
Assemble: Divide rice between 4 bowls/plates. Top with chicken, veggies, and a big dollop of tzatziki sauce!
Notes
Note 1: You can also use Trader Joe's Garlic Spread Dip in place of the tzatziki sauce!Variation: Swap out the rice for a tortilla or pita bread and make wraps!
